Jamaican graduation

The first in a series of overseas graduation ceremonies for 2011 organised by the Undergraduate Laws Programme was held in Jamaica (later events were also held in Bangladesh on 2 April 2011 and Trinidad and Tobago on 3 April 2011). The Chief Justice of Jamaica, Zaila McCalla, O.J., addressed more than 50 Bachelor of Law graduates and their guests at the Terra Nova Hotel in Kingston, on Sunday 30 January 2011. Professor Jenny Hamilton said: “We were delighted to have had such a distinguished guest as the Chief Justice of Jamaica in attendance. Both staff and graduates alike enjoyed hearing her speak about ethics and the legal profession in Jamaica.” It was really an exciting event and we were delighted to be able to share the graduation and the subsequent alumni event with our recent graduates, and local institutions.  We want to especially thank local institutions for their help and support in making this event a great success.
