On a recent visit to Kenya, Professor Jenny Hamilton, Director, Undergraduate Laws Programme, met with a student who, with the assistance of the non-governmental organisation, the African Prisons Project, and with the support of the Kenyan Prison Service, is studying for our Diploma in the Common Law.
“The session with Professor Hamilton was very fruitful as we had adequate time and covered practically everything as planned. I have to acknowledge the support of the prison administration which facilitated the special visit on a weekend…the normal practice is that such meetings can only be facilitated on weekdays. We covered Elements of the Law of Contract, particularly the areas that I had questions on – consideration, acceptance and terms.”
