Open and Online

For over 150 years, the University of London via its International Programmes has offered degrees to students worldwide. A fundamental part of our educational mission has to been to promote and facilitate access to a gold standard education. We are constantly seeking to ensure the materials provided are up to date and our delivery methods are effective and efficient.  Recently the University of London was approached by Coursera, who are one of the pioneers of a new educational initiative known as the MOOC – a Massive Open Online Course. The University agreed to provide six online courses for the new platform, one of these being  English Common Law: Structure and Principles which will begin in early June 2013. This free six week course can be accessed by anyone seeking an introduction to this fascinating subject area or to refresh their understanding of the topic. The course will allow potential students to experience a University of London short course and encourage them to consider the other courses we offer. Our recognised institutions may also use the course as an additional resource for current students or as a promotional tool for prospective students.

More information, including registration details can be found at Coursera. Current students and alumni are welcome to sign up for all or part of the course as well – be aware though that it will not contribute to any final qualification and it is not a replacement for any aspect of CLRI.
