University of London Insitutions’ Moot Ghana February 2016.

Moot-mainThe University of London institutions have run a mooting competition for the last two years- in Prague at AAU and in Jersey at the Institute of Law. The event on 2016 will be held in Empire Institute in Ghana. Teams of at least two members from University of London recognised institutions are invited to participate in Accra on the 10th and 11th February. Mooting is a wonderful opportunity for students to practice their advocacy and debating skills. The students who took part in the previous events have had great fun and learned a huge amount. They also made friends with students from other countries and cultures.   The Moot, which will be held in the High Court in Accra will be heard by Judges from the Ghanaian courts as well as academics experienced in mooting.
The Moot will be held immediately before the Regional Revision which takes place in Zenith University College, Accra, Ghana on 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th February. The revision covers certain modules at levels 4, 5 and 6 and information on this can be found on the VLE. This is a good opportunity to take part in the Moot and improve your knowledge of the law in the Revision classes before the exams.
There is no entry fee for the Moot and accommodation and meals will be provided each day. There will also be a social event and a cultural event in Accra for students included in the proceedings. Should you need accommodation to be extended to cover the Regional Revision this will also be possible at a further cost. More information will be issued shortly and will be posted online here.

  1. Please, is an LLB student of the University Of London International programmes in Accra studying on his own welcomed to the moot court?
