Prof Andrea Biondi speaks on Article 50 referral

Can it be that the court in this decision would have taken account of policy issues? Is there a possibility that if the UK leaves the Union this can encourage a snowball effect?
Reading for this module has shown me just how much of Parliamentary sovereignty has been relinquished to the Union. I presume that economic considerations have trumped constitutional fundamentals.
