  1. This piece raises an important question about the relevance of traditional contract law in today’s rapidly evolving legal and commercial environment. Even though the fundamentals of offer, acceptance, and consideration remain central, modern challenges such as digital contracting, electronic signatures, and unforeseen events like global pandemics show that the law must remain adaptable to new realities. Situations where contracts must be executed on behalf of others also underscore the ongoing need for clear legal instruments and protections, such as power of attorney frameworks (for example: https://www.solicitor.pk/power-of-attorney/ ). It would be interesting to see further discussion on how emerging practices — like smart contracts or dispute resolution innovations — might influence the future shape of English contract law.
